Frequently Asked Questions.

Turf colorant is a professional-grade pigment applied to your lawn to restore a natural green color. It’s commonly used on dormant, stressed, or patchy grass to improve appearance and make your neighbors jealous instantly.
-
Yes. When applied properly and allowed to dry, turf colorant is considered safe for normal use.
Avoid contact while wet.
Keep kids and pets off treated areas until dry.
Once dry, it stays on the grass, not on skin or paws.
-
It can stain while wet.
We take precautions during application, but we recommend avoiding walking on treated grass until fully dry (but who wants to do that anyway…)
-
Typically 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on weather conditions.
Dry time may be longer in cool or humid conditions. We live in the desert though, so…
-
Most applications last 4–12 weeks, depending on:
Mowing frequency
Sun exposure
Weather (rain/snow)
Grass growth rate
How often you want your street cred renewed
-
No, this is a cosmetic treatment only.
It does not replace watering or fertilizing.
It does not damage healthy grass.
It can actually help lawns look better during stress periods \.
It does not harm the photosynthesis process.
It may cause jealous neighbors.
-
We recommend avoiding that… but if it happens, this product may cause mild irritation if directly contacted while wet.
If exposure occurs:
Eyes: Rinse with water for 15 minutes
Skin: Wash with soap and water
If irritation continues: Seek medical advice
-
Nope. This product is odorless. You might get familiar with the smell of victory though.
-
Turf colorants are considered a low environmental risk when applied correctly, especially compared to fertilizers or pesticides.
What makes it safe:
It’s primarily an organic pigment (not a herbicide or chemical treatment)
It binds to grass blades, rather than soaking into soil or running off easily
It has no strong odor and low toxicity under normal use
It is not classified as a hazardous material for transport
Important context:
It is cosmetic only. It doesn’t change soil chemistry.
It’s less impactful than fertilizers, which can contribute to runoff pollution.
Once dry, it is stable and stays on the grass surface.
It saves water in drought conditions, while giving you instant curb appeal.
-
There are no major hazards under normal use. Turf colorant has a high flash point (meaning it is not easily flammable).
-
Before:
Mow lawn if needed
Remove debris
After:
Stay off lawn until dry
Resume normal lawn care after drying
-
Only if it’s still wet. Once dry, the transfer is minimal to none.
-
No, this is purely aesthetic. Like a nice haircut gives you confidence. Our service gives you instant curb appeal while your lawn recovers.
-
We recommend extra caution for individuals with sensitive skin or eyes or people with respiratory conditions. In other words, leave it to us, we’re the pros.
